Mythic Entertainment

EA, according to Kotaku, has decided to shut down their Mythic Entertainment game studio based out of Fairfax, Virginia. Kotaku received the following statement from EA

We are closing the EA Mythic location in Fairfax, Virginia, as we concentrate mobile development in our other studio locations. We are working with all impacted employees to provide assistance in finding new opportunities, either within EA or with other companies via an upcoming job fair.

Mythic Entertainment was acquired by EA eight years ago and has developed games including Ultima Online, Dark Age of Camelot and Warhammer Online. The company was founded in 1995 and 2006 became known as EA Mythic after being acquired.  A few years later EA Mythic was brought together with Bioware being renamed BioWare Mythic. After all these name changes, the company is still popularly known as Mystic Entertainment.
